இறைவன் பாதம் தொட காத்திருக்கும் மலர்கள்

அவைகளை கோர்த்தபடி அமர்ந்திருப்பாள்

சுழியாத நெற்றியில் நேர்த்தியான சுற்றளவில் குங்குமப்பொட்டு

பூக்கடையே வைத்திருந்தாலும் அவள் தலையை அலங்கரிப்பது சிறு துண்டு மல்லிகைப்பூதான்

சிரிக்கையில் மிளிர்ந்து தெரியும் அவள் முகத்தை அலங்கரித்திருக்கும் மெல்லிய மஞ்சள் சாயம்

காது சதைகளை அழுந்த பற்றியிருக்கும் காதணிகள்

கருத்த முகத்தில் சிறு மூக்குத்தி இருந்தும் பயனில்லாது அவளை பொலிவுற காட்டுவது அவள்தம் புன்னகையே!

சுருக்கமாக ’தமிழ் பெண்’ என்று சொல்லி முற்று வைக்கலாம்தான்…

இருப்பினும்…

கோவிலில் கல்லாக காட்சியளிக்கும் பெண் தெய்வம் ஒன்று, தெருவோரத்தில் அமர்ந்து பூக்கட்டி கொண்டிருப்போது போல் தோன்றும்போது அதை விவரிக்காமல் கடந்து விடலாமா என்ன?

நம்மில் பலரும் அவளை கடந்து சென்றிருப்போம்

கண்மூடித்தனமான ஓட்டத்தின் இடையே அவளை கவனிக்க நேரமில்லாது பறந்திருப்போம்

பெற்றோர்களின் பின்னிலும் இடையிலும் நெருக்கி அமர்ந்தபடி பள்ளிகளுக்கு பறந்து செல்லும் பிள்ளைகள் பலதும் அவளுக்கு கையசைத்தபடி கடக்க, சளைக்காது சிரித்தபடி தனது பாணியில் ‘குட் மார்னிங்’ சொல்வாள்

அவள் முன்னிருக்கும் கொய்த பூக்களில் உள்ள மீதமிருக்கும் தேன் ருசிக்க வட்டமிடும் தேனீகள் போல் அவ்வழி செல்லும் பள்ளி செல்லும் பிள்ளைகள் சிலர் அக்காலைவேளையில் அவளை சுற்றி வட்டமிடுவர்

’அக்கா… சில்லறையா இல்ல…’ என்று தயங்க சொல்லும் பிள்ளைகளுக்கு, ’பரவாயில்ல… நாளைக்கு கொடு! போதும்!’ என்று சிரித்தபடி பதிலளிப்பவள் வைத்திருக்கும் இனிப்பு பெட்டியில் (கல்லாப்பெட்டியில்) பத்தும் அஞ்சும் சில்லறைகள் மட்டுமே… வேடிக்கையாய் சிரித்து கொண்டிருக்கும்…

அத்தெருவின் சந்திப்பில் உள்ள பிள்ளையாருக்கு அருகம்புல் சாட்டும் முன் அவள் புன்னகையை தரிசிக்க வேண்டும் என்பது எழுதப்படா விதியா என்னவோ… தெரியவில்லை!

இருப்பினும்,

என்னையும் உங்களையும் போல் அவளுக்குள்ளும் சோகங்கள் உண்டு…

அதன் ஆழம் அதிகம் என்பதை உணர்த்தும் அவள்தம் புன்னகை…

மனதிலிருந்து மலரும் புன்னகையும் சேர்த்து பூக்கோர்க்கும் புன்னகைக்காரம்மா... இந்த பூக்காரம்மா!

An Evening with Thaikkudam Bridge

Yesterday evening was a memorable one
Yes!
Was at the #ThaikkudamBridge Live In Concert
What a crowd and what a performance by the band!
Infact, it was in my bucket list to enjoy any of their live performance and it happened yesterday
We can literally feel the transference of energy from the band to the crowd and vice-versa!
The crowd was too infectious that anyone performing before them would get addicted seriously and severely!
Thoroughly enjoyed their favourites played on stage, like ‘Urumbu’, ‘The One’, ‘Navarasam’, ‘Appozhum’, and as usual, the best was saved for last. It was ‘The Fish Rock’ for which the crowd erupted together in unison!
Especially the crowd went crazy when Singer Chinmayi appeared for the ever-lovable ‘96’ songs. #GovindVasantha’s Violin and Chinmayi’s mesmerizing voice added more love to the evening
I went one and only for Govind’s Violin and enjoyed it. Some of them were out-of-the-sky!
The love towards Isaignani and Isaipuyal – From the crowd and the band made the mood more vibrant
It was like everyone in the crowd was walking along with the band, singing the nostalgic Ilayaraja’s songs, fully enthralled and engaged with the mood
The band enjoyed and performed by the relentless supply of Josh from the crowd!
The sweat, the heat, the adrenaline-rush, the heart-thumping sound, ever-dancing legs, dry throat, the shiver of vocal cord, the pain, the cry, the smile and the final look towards the heaven above our head was all deeply imprinted in me…
